Rep. Thomas Announces $45M for Education Improvements at The University of Cincinnati
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) Monday announced that the Controlling Board approved over $45M for the University of Cincinnati to use on design-build and renovation services.
“I am excited to announce the approval of funding for higher education improvements at the University of Cincinnati. This funding will support the university as they build a state-of-the-art lab for scientific research and complete infrastructure upgrades at Rieveschl Hall. These investments will ensure the University of Cincinnati continues to be the hub of academic excellence it has been since 1819,” said Rep. Thomas.
The scope of the research lab project includes new building infrastructure, updated technology, new interiors and finishes, and furniture. The Rieveschl Hall renovations will improve the building’s exterior, address safety issues, and add an elevator.
