COLUMBUS— State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington), joined by several House Democrats,yesterday led a Micro and Small Business Roundtable via Facebook Live.  The roundtable served as a listening forum for micro and small businesses, particularly those owned by women and minorities, to share problems resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as highlight gaps in the resources provided by federal, state and local governments.  Microbusinesses are defined by the state as those with 20 or fewer employees and account for 97 percent of all Ohio businesses.

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today thanked Gov. Mike DeWine for announcing Ohio’s application for an 1135 waiver from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). On March 17, Rep. Russo joined State Reps. Thomas West (D-Canton) and Beth Liston (D-Dublin) in writing a letter to Ohio Department of Medicaid Director Maureen Corcoran, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton and Gov. DeWine requesting the administration to seek such a waiver.

Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today announced the state Controlling Board approved more than $248 million in federal coronavirus relief funds to aid the state’s ongoing pandemic response efforts, including funds to bolster testing capacity, purchase needed personal protective equipment for frontline workers, expand hospital capacity, and provide resources for those most impacted by the coronavirus.

COLUMBUS— State lawmakers returned to the Statehouse today to address the COVID-19 crisis and provide immediate relief to everyday Ohioans. State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) released a statement today following the unanimous passage of an omnibus bill (HB 197) that would prohibit utility shut-offs, waive state testing requirements, freeze EdChoice eligibility, extend voting in the primary election, postpone the state income tax filing deadline among several other measures.
