Lampton Appointed as Chair of Insurance Committee

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) as Chair of the House Insurance Committee for the 136th General Assembly. He also served as Chair of the Insurance Committee during the previous General Assembly. 

"I look forward to engaging in the insurance issues that affect nearly every Ohioan in one way or another,” said Lampton. “The insurance industry is almost completely legislated and regulated on a state-by-state basis, so the committee must carefully consider a wide range of insurance related matters that impact consumers and businesses alike. I am looking forward to applying my 30 plus years of experience in the insurance industry, as well as my last 2 years as the insurance chair. "

Lampton will also serve on the House Medicaid, Small Business, and Veterans and Military Development Committees.
