Roemer Issues Statement for Local Drug Task Force Funding
State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) has issued the following statement regarding $107,364 for the Summit County Drug Unit funding announced to support reducing drug use and provide substance abuse awareness and prevention:
“This is a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach not only to combating drug overdoses and mental health issues, but overall to help with reducing crime throughout Summit County and our state. As a member of the House Finance Committee that oversaw the state budget bill behind the funding, I am proud to have represented Summit County and been a part of this process to secure this grant funding.”
The statement comes after it was announced the Summit County Drug Unit is set to receive the funding from the RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund.
