Roemer Announces Significant Funding for School Safety and Security in Ohio's 38th House District
State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announces $667,776 that will be awarded to schools in Ohio’s 38th House District for school safety and security made possible through legislation he supported to strengthen school security. The funding comes from House Bill 687, which allocates $100 million for this very important grant program.
“My colleagues and I in the Ohio House understand the importance of protecting students and staff across the state,” Roemer said. “Providing schools with security enhancements is a necessity in keeping our children and teachers safe.”
The Ohio K-12 School Safety Grant Program had thousands of schools apply, and the following 38th District schools were selected to receive this grant:
- Norton City School District - $200,000
- Revere Local School District - $105,620
- Manchester Local School District - $8,893
- Tuslaw Local School District - $150,000
- Nordonia Hills City School District - $203,263
Another application period is expected in the future in which schools that have not yet applied will receive priority consideration.
