Lear Votes in Favor of SAFE Act Veto Override

COLUMBUS— State Representative Beth Lear (R-Galena) made the following statement in response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act.

“For the sake of vulnerable children as well as women’s’ and girls’ rights to have their own sports, overriding Governor DeWine’s veto was an easy ‘yes,’” Lear said.

The veto override of the SAFE Act will now be considered by the Ohio Senate.
