State Rep. Anielski Helps CVCC Break Ground on RAMTEC Expansion

State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Walton Hills) recently attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the RAMTEC (Robotic & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative) expansion project for the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.

The 3,200 square foot addition will expand instructional space as well as the manufacturing lab. The Career Center is part of a $15 million RAMTEC Straight A grant recipient. The $1.5 million that CVCC received as its portion is being combined with local funds to build a world-class training facility in the arena of advanced manufacturing. Renovations are expected to be completed in time for students to attend in the fall with January 2016 scheduled for the grand opening.

CVCC Superintendent Celena Roebuck, Lt. Governor Mary Taylor, Rep Anielski, and many others helped to break ground on the expansion.

“We see this as an essential component of our schools and the value of career and technical education at CVCC,” said CVCC Superintendent Dr. Celena Roebuck. ”What a great way for our students to build talent and resumes all at once…and still in high school!”

Anielski. “The innovation economy of the future will challenge today’s students to pursue more specialized education and help to create some of the best and brightest minds in the robotic and manufacturing fields.”
