Speaker Batchelder Speaks at Ohio Vietnam Veterans Commemoration Closing Ceremony

Ohio House Speaker William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) today spoke at the Ohio Vietnam Veterans Commemoration closing ceremony located at the Ohio Statehouse. Various speakers, along with Batchelder, helped to conclude a week of events that recognize March 30th as Vietnam Veterans Day in Ohio.

In his speech, Speaker Batchelder focused on recognizing and honoring Vietnam veterans for their service, while also presenting the resolution that was signed into law by Governor John Kasich.

Events for the Ohio Vietnam Veterans Commemoration included displays, panel discussions and speeches. A final event will take place on Friday, March 29 to end the observance by retiring The Wall That Heals, which is a smaller replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. being displayed at the Ohio History Center.
