Today, the Ohio House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 10, legislation that clarifies laws pertaining to the state’s elections and polling places. Following the passage of the bill, Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) released the following statement:
“By passing Senate Bill 10, the Ohio House of Representatives has addressed a number of important issues that impact Ohioans’ most fundamental civic right. Ensuring ultimate fairness in our elections process includes promoting an atmosphere at the polling place that suits the needs of every voter. This includes providing accommodations for the disabled, which was a major focus of this legislation. I was pleased to see it pass out of the House.”
