“These members have been on the front lines of health care issues and will be invaluable to the work of JMOC,” said Speaker Batchelder. “Their diligence and ability to understand the complex nature of health care in Ohio will lead to healthier outcomes. I look forward to working with them on this very important committee.”

President Faber has appointed the following members to JMOC:

  • Senator Dave Burke (R–Marysville), who currently serves as the Chairman of both the Senate Standing Committee on State Government Oversight and Reform and the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Medicaid. In addition to being a member, Senator Burkehad been named Chairman of the Joint Medicaid Oversight Committee and was the sponsor of Senate Bill 206, which established the committee.
  • Senator Chris Widener (R–Springfield), who currently serves as the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and has formerly served as Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance. Senator Widener also serves as a Member of the Senate Finance Medicaid Subcommittee.
