Rep. Derek Merrin Appointed to Three Ohio House Committees
Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today announced that State Representative Derek Merrin (R-Monclova Township) has been appointed to serve on three Ohio House committees including Health and Aging, Insurance, and Ways and Means. Each committee hears bills on a variety of issues relevant to its particular focus.
"I love public policy and these committees will provide an incredible opportunity to shape the future of Ohio,” said Rep. Merrin. “My sleeves are rolled-up and I’m ready to start working.”
Representative Merrin was appointed as state representative of the 47th Ohio House District in August, filling the vacant seat. He is a realtor and a real estate investor with several years of experience in a variety of public office positions.
