Ohio House Approves Resolution to Hold State of the State Address in Marietta
The Ohio House of Representatives approved a resolution during today’s session to hold Governor Kasich’s State of the State address in Marietta.
Following passage, Ohio House Speaker Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) released the following statement:
“I was pleased to learn that the Governor was requesting to hold his State of the State address in Marietta, ‘Ohio’s First City.’ This is a part of the state that we have not yet traveled for the annual speech, and I expect it will be a great opportunity to showcase the region.
“Last year, with the address being held in my home district in Wilmington, I saw first-hand what it means for a community to host the Governor and the General Assembly. So I am happy that Representative Andy Thompson will have that privilege this year in his hometown.”
This year’s State of the State address will be held April 6th at 7 p.m. at the People’s Bank Theatre.
