Gross Issues Statement on Governor DeWine's Statewide Address
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) today issued the following statement regarding Governor DeWine’s statewide address on Wednesday:
“As the sponsor of the Vaccine Choice and Anti-Discrimination Act (House Bill 248), I strongly believe that getting the COVID-19 vaccine is a personal medical decision. Each individual should have the ability to choose to do what they feel is best for their own body and health.
A vaccine lottery of $5 million in federal money is a reckless use of taxpayer funds. Convincing minors to get vaccinated with full-ride college scholarships is irresponsible. Ohioans should make healthcare decisions with their healthcare provider, not government incentives funded by the taxpayers.
It remains my priority to protect medical choice and individual freedom. The June 2nd date is not rooted in science or data. The governor should lift all orders on Ohioans today.”
