Chairman Holmes Excited About Historic Aviation and Aerospace Project Coming to Ohio
COLUMBUS –State Rep. Adam Holmes (R-Nashport), Chairman of the House Aviation and Aerospace Committee, this week was excited to participate in a historic event, during which Joby Aviation announced the next step in the future of aviation and aerospace.
Joby Aviation chose the Miami Valley Region as the location for a manufacturing plant that will be used to develop a completely electric aircraft that has the capacity to travel up to 100 miles with a pilot and four passengers.
“This announcement further solidifies Ohio’s position as a hub for aviation and aerospace development,” said Holmes. “This project will also benefit Ohio through positive economic development and continue to make our state a more desirable place to live and raise a family.”
The new Joby facility will bring 2,000 jobs to Ohio and is a $500 million investment.
