Butler County Awarded Recycle Ohio Grants

COLUMBUS—Three projects in Butler County were recently awarded a Recycle Ohio Grant by the Ohio EPA to be used towards projects that encourage recycling and implement litter prevention efforts, announced State Rep. Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester).
Additional details are outlined below:
- $28,135 to be used towards special venue recycling and education efforts in the City of Oxford
- $50,000 for MetroParks of Butler County to be used towards special venue recycling
- $4,149 to be used towards a water bottle refilling station at the St. Joseph Consolidated School
“We have been entrusted to take care of our environment and make Butler County the best place to live and flourish,” said Gross. “Recycling is a significant way to care for our communities and this funding will make it easier for individuals to do so.”
The Ohio EPA awarded more than $900,000 in total for recycling and litter prevention projects throughout southwest Ohio.
