$71.6 Million in Unclaimed Funds Owed to Stark County Residents

COLUMBUS—The Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Unclaimed Funds recently announced it's currently holding $71.6 million in unclaimed funds belonging to residents and businesses in Stark County, announced State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton).
Stark County is ranked in the top 10 statewide in the amount owed. Overall, Ohio has nearly $4 billion in unclaimed funds.
Oelslager is encouraging constituents who believe they have unclaimed funds to visit missingmoney.com and follow the steps outlined on the site.
Unclaimed funds are “lost” money reported by businesses and banks to the Division of Unclaimed Funds after an account's closure.
