Rep. Sobecki encourages Ohio to use ARPA funding to support affordable housing

State Rep. Lisa Sobecki (D-Toledo) today sent a letter to Governor Mike DeWine encouraging Ohio to use Federal funding received under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to expand supportive and affordable housing for Ohioans in need.

“The need to promptly address Ohio’s housing crisis is extremely critical, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic made existing problems worse,” said Rep. Sobecki. “There is broad support across Ohio from advocates to expand supportive and affordable housing using ARPA dollars. I stand willing to partner with the Governor to make that a reality.”
