Rep. Boggs statement on Ohio Redistricting Committee public hearing in Dayton
Ohio House Assistant Minority Leader Rep. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) issued a statement following the Ohio Redistricting Commission’s public hearing on state legislative maps Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio. 10 hearings are planned for the week across the state. A full schedule and additional information on the hearings can be found at www.redistricting.ohio.gov.
“The passionate and compelling testimony heard today shows what we’ve known for a long time—that folks in Southwest Ohio and across the state haven’t gotten the representation they deserve. It’s important that we continue to hear from all Ohioans to ensure we get this right because the maps we draw in the coming weeks will shape our state’s future for the next decade or more,” said Rep. Boggs. “I encourage everyone to participate by attending a hearing, submitting testimony online and letting us know what they want to see their districts look like so we can keep communities together and deliver on the promise of fair maps and better representation for Ohio.”
