Extremist Republicans Scheming to Once Again Trick Voters, Silence the Voice of the People

COLUMBUS – House Minority Leader Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) today slammed the passage of Ohio Senate Bill (SB) 215, the latest attempt by extremist Republicans to make it more difficult for Ohioans to have their voices heard on the issues that matter most to them.

“After losing back-to-back statewide ballot campaigns on reproductive rights, extremists in the gerrymandered majority are once again foolishly rushing to attack Ohioans’ fundamental freedom to change their government,” said Leader Russo. “This childish, playground mentality– masked in talking points and stupidly written as legislation– won’t fool the Ohioans who want the freedom to change their government when politicians are only looking out for themselves. Sore losers who want to change the rules for everyone but themselves should get a clue and focus on bills that create jobs and create opportunities for Ohioans to get ahead.”
