State Rep. Matt Lundy's Statement on the Introduction of So-Called "Right to Work" Legislation

COLUMBUS- Today, Ohio House Republicans distributed a memo in preparation of introducing a so-called “right to work” bill that would eliminate the rights of Ohioans in the workplace.  State Rep. Matt Lundy (D- Elyria) released the following statement:

 “This so-called “Right to work” legislation shows a total disregard for the will of Ohioans. Ohio voters overwhelming said they support collective-bargaining in this state.  House Republicans and Governor Kasich should respect the will of the voters and turn their focus to creating jobs in Ohio, not attacking the working families of Ohio. 

 “This legislation is a direct assault on the hardworking middle class families of Ohio.  We stood together and fought off these attacks before and we will continue to fight together to protect the working families of Ohio.”
