Richardson Supports Local Funding to Fight Drug Use
COLUMBUS –State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) has issued the following statement regarding the announcement of local drug task force funding for multiple counties, including Marion County. These funds will be used to support reducing drug use and provide substance abuse awareness and prevention:
“Lives are lost every day to illegal drugs in Ohio, Marion County is no exception,” said Richardson. “I supported this funding in the state’s budget to help put an end to overdoses. Additionally, this funding has been provided to assist those struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Helping to put an end to the scourge of addiction and assisting individuals in their recovery process will only strengthen our community.”
The statement comes after it was announced the METRICH Enforcement Unit will receive $124,191 from the RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund.
