Richardson Recognizes Ohio Cattlemen's Association
COLUMBUS – State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) recently honored the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association (OCA) for 70 years of service to Ohio’s beef and dairy farmers.
Located in Marysville, the OCA, formerly known as the Ohio Cattle Feeder’s Association, is a membership organization that represents all beef industry producers, cow or calf, feeder, stocker, seed stock and dairy. The OCA serves a membership of over 2,200 families throughout Ohio and surroundings states with more than 60 county associations. It serves as the voice and issues manager for all of Ohio’s beef cattle business.
“The OCA is a staple in Marysville and I’m excited to recognize them for 70 years of service to the beef and dairy farmers of Ohio,” said Richardson. “They play a critical role in representing the business interest of cattle farmers across the state.”
Richardson presented a commendation to Executive Director Elizabeth Harsh and other board members during a board meeting Sept. 14.
