Richardson Recognizes Memorial Day in Marysville

MARYSVILLE – State Rep. Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) today honored the nation’s fallen military members at a Memorial Day ceremony in Marysville. Richardson was the guest speaker for the occasion.

“Today provides an opportunity to recognize the brave men and women in uniform who have given the ultimate sacrifice while proudly serving our country,” said Richardson. “This noble cause, the cause of defending our freedom resonates across our land as we pause to give thanks for the brave men and women who have sacrificed to keep us a free nation by defending against all enemies foreign and domestic.”

During her speech, Richardson described her experience being deployed in Operating Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the Gulf War.

“After witnessing the bravery and strength of my brothers and sisters serving during this conflict and throughout my lifetime of service, I will never lose sight of the sacrifice and my gratitude for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom,” said Richardson.

The ceremony also included wreath presentations honoring those who lost their lives in war.
