Richardson Issues Statement on Governor DeWine's Reopening Plans
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) issued the following statement regarding Governor DeWine's reopening plans:
"It's finally time. After months of struggle, sacrifice and perseverance we look to a new beginning. I sought to open Ohio sooner but will not look back...only forward to a brighter future.
Time to end the health orders and edicts and remove all mask mandates.
Time to fully reopen Ohio, our businesses, schools and communities to ensure the freedoms and quality of life we treasure are reinstated.
Time to return to work and restore our economy.
Time to freely choose whether or not to COVID immunize and to support our most vulnerable who may need to remain vigilant about protecting their own health.
Over the past year, we’ve come together as Ohioans. We’ve sacrificed and supported one another during the worst pandemic our nation has experienced in more than a century. We’ve faced uncertainty and adversity as Americans always do, with strength and resolve.
I have tremendous respect for all who have helped our community and country through these challenging times, in particular our healthcare workers, first responders and many more who worked tirelessly on the frontlines.
I have a renewed sense of optimism that our best days are ahead of us.
Those days begin with reopening our great state, embracing our freedoms and trusting Ohioans to fearlessly move Ohio forward.
It’s time."
