Richardson Attends Richwood Park Dedication Ceremony
COLUMBUS – State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) attended a dedication ceremony in Richwood Saturday to celebrate the unveiling of new upgrades to Richwood Park.
Richardson, who represents the people of Richwood, was pleased to be able to work on behalf of her constituents to obtain funding for the upgrades in the state capital budget passed in May of 2022.
“It is my goal to always advocate for the district and make sure state resources and funds are distributed for the creation of meaningful projects. Seeing the results of the funding today brings me great joy,” said Richardson. “Richwood Park is a beautiful attraction to the Village of Richwood and I am happy I could attend the dedication to celebrate with the people of the community.”
The village received $200,000 in the capital budget for the completion of a new shelter house, parking lot and the installation of a splash pad.
Richardson also helped secure an additional $150,000 for the Richwood Opera House Restoration Project to help fund the reinforcement of load-bearing beams beneath newly stabilized trusses.
