COLUMBUS—State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) today released the following statement on Honda’s recent announcement to end production on one of its second-shift production assembly lines in Marysville:
“Honda today announced that it will stop its second-shift production on one assembly line at its Marysville facility beginning in August so it can refurbish and retool that factory to make electrified vehicles as it prepares for future auto technology. I understand the concerns and adjustments facing employees due to today’s announcement, but I am pleased that Honda officials do not anticipate layoffs.”
