Fischer Appointed as Vice Chair of General Government Committee

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tex Fischer (R-Boardman) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman (R-Lima) as Vice Chair of the House General Government Committee for the 136th General Assembly.

“I’m excited to be chosen to lead efforts to reform state government and make Ohio a better place,” said Fischer. “I look forward to having productive conversations and working to ensure government is working for the people, not the other way around.”

In addition to serving as Vice Chair of the General Government Committee, Representative Fischer has been appointed to the House Energy, Development, and Natural Resources Committees.

Representative Fischer is serving his first full term in the Ohio House. He represents the 59th District, which encompasses southern Mahoning County and northwest Columbiana County.
