Creston Receives Grant for New Water Infrastructure
COLUMBUS – State Representative Scott Wiggam (R-Wayne County) has announced the Village of Creston has received an Ohio BUILDS water infrastructure grant to replace waterlines in the village.
The grant worth more than $410,000 will be used to replace more than 1,500 feet of waterlines, four main valves and 10 service taps. The project will benefit more than 2,100 residents.
“These funds are crucial for small villages like Creston,” said Wiggam. “I’m pleased these funds will go toward the continued development of Creston to help provide safe, reliable water for the people of the community.”
The Ohio BUILDS water infrastructure program is a continuation of the H2Ohio Initiative to help ensure clean and safe water for communities across the state. The H2Ohio Initiative has dedicated nearly $1.3 billion toward providing safe water for Ohioans.
