Reggie Stoltzfus News

State Rep. Reggie Stoltzfus (R-Paris Twp.) announced federal funding relief from the CARES Act that will be distributed to the city of Alliance and other portions of Stark County. The funding will be provided by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The CDBG program provides communities and states with funding to provide a wide range of resources to address COVID-19, such as constructing medical facilities for testing and treatment, acquiring a motel or hotel building to expand capacity of hospitals to accommodate isolation of patients during recovery, supporting businesses manufacturing medical supplies, and more.

Located within the 50th Ohio House District, these areas will receive the following appropriations:

                - City of Alliance: $367,100

                - Stark County: $803,098

“Whether it’s through the state or the federal government, our communities, people, and businesses are receiving aid in several capacities,” said Stoltzfus. “It’s reassuring to see parts of my district within Stark County receiving this much-needed relief in order to combat the coronavirus.”

In total, HUD is making $90,919,075 available for Ohio through the CDBG program.
