Rep. Baker of Ohio House District 27 Sworn Into 136th General Assembly
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Rachel B. Baker (D-Cincinnati) Monday was sworn into the 136th Ohio General Assembly. Rep. Baker will be beginning her second term in the legislature at the Ohio Statehouse. Following the new redistricting maps, this will include the people of Indian Hill, Terrace Park, Anderson Township, Newtown, Amberley, Lincoln Heights, Lockland, Madeira, Reading, Silverton, Woodlawn, Wyoming, parts of Columbia Township, and parts of Springfield Township.
“It has been an honor to represent the people of District 27 for the past two years and I’m humbled that they’ve selected me to continue as their representative for the next two years. I take this honor and responsibility very seriously and I will work hard every day to improve the lives of my constituents in District 27,” said Rep. Baker.
Rep. Baker’s top priorities are improving social determinants of health, increasing access to quality healthcare, increasing support for mental health care, promoting preventive care and population health, advocating for adequate funding of Ohio’s public schools, and increasing good-paying jobs for working families to promote Ohioans’ ability to live happy and healthy lives.
