Robinson sworn in as state rep for Ohio's 6th House District
State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) took the oath of office today during the opening session of the 133rd Ohio General Assembly at the Ohio Statehouse, officially beginning Robinson’s first term as state lawmaker.
“Working families across Ohio are ready for a change, and to be a part of that change here at the People’s House is truly an honor,” said Rep. Robinson. “Now it’s time to get down to business and work together—as Democrats and Republicans—to improve the lives of everyday Ohioans.”
A tireless advocate for opportunity for Ohio students, Rep. Robinson plans to work together with both sides of the aisle to invest in public schools, make college more affordable, hold private and for-profit charter schools accountable, and improve access to job training programs across the state.
Rep. Robinson earned his undergraduate degree from George Washington University and an Executive Mater of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University. He currently lives in Solon with his wife and two children.
