Rep. Robinson Announces Virtual Events For April

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today announced the upcoming public virtual events of his next “Robinson Roundtable” office hours on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be held for the first time virtually on Facebook, as well as his first District 6 Virtual Town Hall, Monday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 P.M. on Facebook Live from his official Facebook pageto give updates and discuss the COVID-19 emergency response.

“I am excited to make my first attempt to engage with constituents virtually,” said Rep. Robinson. “Now more than ever during this global pandemic, elected officials need to be available to be held accountable by their constituents, provide support, and answer questions. I want to make certain I know what District 6 is facing by hearing about our community’s concerns straight from the source.”

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the essential need for social distancing, Rep. Robinson canceled his March and April office hours and his Mayfield Village Town Hall.

Rep. Robinson normally holds in-district, open office hours, or “Robinson Roundtables,” on the second Saturday of each month normally from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., giving constituents the opportunity to meet with Rep. Robinson and discuss the issues that matter to them and their families.

In addition to monthly Robinson Roundtables, Rep. Robinson has been holding his District 6 Town Hall Tour, which will include town hall events in each of the district’s 17 communities. These are public forums where Rep. Robinson updates his constituents on his office’s activities, policy issues, and Statehouse affairs with opportunities for questions and comments. Since elected, he has held 11 town halls, each in a different community.
