Plummer Appointed as Vice Chair to Finance Committee

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) recently selected State Rep. Phil Plummer (R-Dayton) to serve as Vice Chair to the House Finance Committee for the 134th General Assembly.

The committee is responsible for shaping Ohio’s two-year state budget bill.

“This will be a crucial budget year,” said Plummer. “I look forward to playing a key role in creating a balanced budget that properly invests in Ohio’s public services and economic recovery while also protecting taxpayer dollars.”

Plummer will also serve on the following committees:

Criminal Justice
Government Oversight
Health
Rules and Reference

“The Ohio House is a talented group of members with extensive experience, knowledge and a passion for public service,” said Cupp. “I look forward to a robust committee process that results in good public policy for Ohio.”
