Looking Forward to the Warren County Fair
July 13, 2018
P. Scott Lipps News

It’s that time of the year again—the Warren County Fair begins soon! The fair is one of my favorite events in southwestern Ohio, especially when I try to be as involved as possible in our local FFA organization. The FFA is a wonderful program that teaches our children leadership and citizenship skills, and the Warren County Fair highlights all the hard work they put in each year.

Of course, the FFA and 4-H events are some of the top reasons to attend the fair. It gives students the opportunity to show off what they’ve worked so hard for as they have cared for livestock and horses day in and day out. Not only that, but it reaffirms just how important agriculture is to our state—it’s our number one industry after all. The fair reminds me that Ohio will have plenty of farmers, scientists, dairy workers, and more for years to come.

But the agricultural exhibitions aren’t the only thing at the fair to enjoy. There will be local bands to watch, magic shows, tractor pulls, a demolition derby, and more. There is something for everyone to get into, and it is sure to be a week filled with family-friendly fun. Besides that, we all know the fair food and rides are always worth a trip.

The Warren County Fair runs from Monday, July 16 through Saturday, July 21. Attending the fair is great way to get out and enjoy the summer heat before it’s gone, and you’ll be supporting our youth, community, and local leaders. I hope to see you there!
