COLUMBUS – State Representative Nick Santucci (R-Howland Twp.) this week announced that the Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation is set to receive $7,212,585 in funding through the Ohio Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program.

"Blight is a major problem, cleaning up these properties will pay dividends for Trumbull County, both in terms of public safety and economic development,” Santucci said. “This funding is a significant step towards fixing the blighted properties that plague our community."

The state operating budget from the 134th General Assembly allocated a total of $150 million in grants to be dispersed. This most recent round of allocations includes $54.5 million across 15 counties.

The Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation will use the funding to demolish 181 structures, primarily located within the 64th district, and restore land for productive usage such as businesses, housing, or recreation.
