COLUMBUS — State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today held a press conference in Toledo regarding the allocation of $100K to Toledo Lutheran Social Services (LSS).

“Lutheran Social Services has served as a cornerstone of the Toledo community for over a century, providing counseling, employee assistance, and emergency food for those from all walks of life. These funds will go a long way to expand LSS’s reach and empower them to assist even more community members. I’m proud to have fought for this funding and continuously advocate for organizations like Toledo Lutheran Social Services in Columbus,” said Rep. Grim.

These funds will be used to support the expansion of the LSS building, expanding their capacity for service to the local community. Toledo Lutheran Social Services currently serves more than 28K clients at its current location. The over 7K square foot expansion would allow them to serve the greater Toledo community to an even greater ability.

The funding is thanks to Rep. Grim’s support of House Bill (HB) 2, the state's record-setting $6.2B biennial state capital budget, which allocates funds to local projects statewide.
