Rep. Grim Announces $540K for Senior Meals Delivery and Housing

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced the Area Office of Aging and Ability Center has received $540K from the Ohio Department of Development to support the delivery of meals for seniors and the development of housing.  

“As the makeup of our community changes, so do its needs. This funding will be well utilized to serve the seniors of the greater Toledo area. I’m proud to always advocate for the programs that make a positive difference in the day to day lives of Ohioans,” said Rep. Grim. 

This funding will directly support the Area Office of Aging’s Senior Meals delivery program. Additionally, the funds will be used by the Ability Center’s Home Accessibility Program to repair 10 homes for local seniors who meet the income eligibility requirements.
