Rep. Grim Announces $13.8M Investment for New Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Toledo

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that Mobis North America has $13.8M investment for the manufacturing of a new electric vehicle battery assembly plant in Toledo. 

“This investment will bring valuable cutting-edge jobs to Toledo and the greater Lucas County area. Mobis will continue to be an essential partner in fostering long term growth. This only marks the beginning of Toledo’s continuous growth in the electric vehicle market,” said Rep. Grim.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has also approved a Job Creation Tax Credit for Mobis.

Upon completion the plant will create 185 manufacturing jobs for local community members. The investment solidifies Mobis’ commitment to Northwest Ohio as the seat of their operations.
