Rep. McNally Says Real State of the State is Ohio is Falling Behind, Putting People First Key to Better and Brighter Future
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-City) today acknowledges that following Governor Mike DeWine’s State of the State address that many Ohioans find themselves living in a state they believe is headed in the wrong direction. House Democrats are committed to creating a better and brighter future for all Ohioans by continuing the fight to put people first.
“We’ve made zero steps forward as a state this year, despite having a record amount of money at our disposal to do so,” said Rep. McNally. “This past year has been a complete missed opportunity by the state legislature and while House District 59 has had significant strides of its own, it’s all been in spite of the majority in-fighting and culture wars.”
Putting people first will ensure all Ohioans—no matter your race, gender, or economic status—have the freedom to be who they are, the dignity of a safe community and secure job, and the opportunity to thrive.
