Rep. Ritter Announces Controlling Board Approval of Additional Lowell Dam Renovations
COLUMBUS – State Representative Kevin Ritter (R- Marietta) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of $3,500,000 to be used by the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks, to continue renovations for the Lowell Dam.
This funding will be used to provide construction services for improvements associated with the rehabilitation of the Lowell Dam and Lock No. 3 located on the Muskingum River in Lowell, Ohio in Washington County.
“This additional funding will help us further complete the construction and improvements needed on the Muskingum River,” said Representative Ritter. “Investing in our local infrastructure is essential for the safety and sustainability of our communities. I’m pleased the Ohio Controlling Board approved this additional funding for continued renovations to the Lowell Dam.”
This funding was originally awarded through a competitive opportunity process through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
