Rep. Mohamed Attends White House Eid al-Fitr Dinner
COLUMBUS- State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) Monday attended President Biden’s Eid al-Fitr celebration at the White House. The dinner event celebrated the end of Ramadan, called Eid al-Fitr, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Representative Mohamed joined other Muslim congressional and state legislators from across the country.
“I was honored to be invited to the White House for their Eid al-Fitr celebration along with other Muslim elected officials across the country,” said Rep. Mohamed. “Interfaith celebrations such as these demonstrate the inclusive and empowering ideas that our country was built to encourage, and I am grateful for the opportunity to express and celebrate my faith with our nation’s leader.”
Eid al-Fitr is the celebration at the end of Ramadan and concludes the Muslim holy month of fasting.
