Rep. Mohamed Attends celebration of the One-Year Anniversary of Communities in Action: Building a Better Ohio

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Ismail Mohamed (D-Columbus) Monday attended the one-year anniversary event commemorating the Biden-Harris Communities In Action: Building a Better Ohio initiative. The event in downtown Columbus included remarks from Tom Perez, senior advisor to the president and White House director of intergovernmental affairs, and personal statements and stories from community members impacted by the Building a Better Ohio initiative. Rep. Mohamed joined other State Legislators and local officials from across the State.

“On the one-year anniversary of Communities In Action, I was encouraged to hear from Ohioans whose lives have been positively impacted by the Biden Administrations policies that engage local communities such as locally distributed ARPA dollars and youth programming and support,” said Rep. Mohamed. “Just as policy makers must be attentive to the communities they serve, an engaged and dedicated community is the catalyst to long lasting and effective economic and social policy.”
