Manning Co-Sponsors Bills to Repeal House Bill 6
State Rep. Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) has co-sponsored two bills set to be introduced, one by State Reps. Mark Romanchuk (R-Ontario) and Laura Lanese (R-Grove City) and another sponsored by Michael Skindell (D-Lakewood) and Michael O’Brien (D-Warren). Both bills are intended to repeal House Bill 6. The bills surround the controversial nuclear bailout bill, House Bill 6, which has been recently and heavily referenced statewide due to a federal racketeering investigation.
“Last year, I chose to vote against the nuclear bailout legislation known as House Bill 6,” said Manning. “With the corruption clout this legislation faces, I find it absolutely appropriate that we repeal House Bill 6 and work diligently to replace it with a more responsible and efficient initiative regarding Ohio’s energy systems.”
Last year, along with Manning, 38 representatives voted against House Bill 6 when it passed out of the Ohio House and was later signed into law.
In total, 19 other representatives have cosponsored Romanchuk and Lanese’s bill.
