Click Announces JobsOhio Grant to Assist with Local Company Growth
Today, State Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) announces that Tiffin’s Ballreich Snack Food Company will be receiving a $25,000 JobsOhio Inclusion Grant that will assist the local business in purchasing new equipment.
“Even during a pandemic, economic growth is happening right here in our backyard of Tiffin,” said Click. “Thanks to this partnership, Ballreich will be able to expand their 100-year old business, which should bring further development and jobs to our communities. I would like to commend Ballreich’s for working diligently to retain jobs in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.”
The grant will be used to support the company’s $175,000 investment throughout the upcoming year to be used for machinery, equipment and building costs. Ballreich, Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership, Regional Growth Partnership in Toledo and JobsOhio worked collaboratively to secure the grant.
The JobsOhio Inclusion Grant provides financial support for projects in distressed communities or for businesses owned by underrepresented populations throughout Ohio.
Ballreich currently employs 75 people at its plant in Tiffin.
“I am thankful for Ballreich’s and the locally-owned business community of the 88th District who truly advance the future of Seneca and Sandusky Counties,” Click added.
