State Representative Don Jones Appointed as Chair of the Primary and Secondary Education Committee

COLUMBUS— Speaker of the House Larry Householder (R-Glenford) recently named State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) Chair of the Primary and Secondary Education Committee. Jones has a strong background in education, serving in the classroom as an educator for over 20 years.

“I am very grateful to Speaker Householder for trusting me to lead this committee,” said Jones. “The purpose of school is to educate students. Those students are our future.  I spent 23 years in the classroom and I know the key to future success is to be well-educated. In this new position, I am going strive to ensure all young Ohioans receive a top-tier education.”

Jones also serves on the Agriculture and Rural Development, Commerce and Labor, and the Transportation and Public Safety Committees.
