COLUMBUS—State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) highlights $200,000 from the H2Ohio initiative coming to Lowell in an effort to improve drinking water quality for its residents.
H2Ohio was created as a result of the state operating budget in the 133rd General Assembly, House Bill 166, which was supported by Representative Jones.
“Clean drinking water is a necessity to public health,” Jones said. “I gladly supported this project in 2019, and I am thrilled to see it working for the Lowell community.”
The funding granted to the village of Lowell will be used to purchase new water filters, which will remove iron and manganese from its water and improve the long-term quality of water resources in the community.
