Jones Supports SAFE Act Veto Override

COLUMBUS—State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) today made the following statement in response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act.

“Today, the Ohio House was able to use its legislative power to override Governor DeWine’s veto on the SAFE Act,” said Jones. “I voted in favor of the override because the legislation protects Ohio’s children and female student-athletes.”

The veto override of the SAFE Act will now be considered by the Ohio Senate.
