Controlling Board Approves $503,729.00 for Washington State Community College Renovation Project
COLUMBUS – The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $503,729.00 for the Washington State Community College for the Basic Renovation-Health Sciences Expansion and Renovation project, State Representatives Jay Edwards and Don Jones announced today.
The funding will help Washington State Community College complete higher priority projects on campus. Specifically, the funding will be allocated to modernize and update the Health and Sciences renovation resulting in expanded classrooms and upgraded lab facilities.
“This will help enhance educational opportunities at Washington State Community College and will be an outstanding resource for students and community members for years to come,” said Jones.
Edwards agreed, adding that Washington State Community College is having a positive impact on the area’s economy.
“Workforce development and training is a key component of keeping and creating jobs here in Southeast Ohio,” Edwards said.
