Stein Highlights AC&Y Trail Construction
COLUMBUS – State Representative Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) is happy to announce that the State Controlling Board has approved the release of $320,049 to develop the first of three sections of the AC&Y Trail.
This funding comes as a result of the Clean Ohio Trails Fund project which provides competitive statewide grant dollars to communities for the purpose of improving outdoor recreation, specifically recreational trails.
The AC&Y Trail when finished will be a 3.4-mile crushed limestone trail. Throughout the state 17 Clean Ohio Trail Fund projects were selected, this being the only one in Huron County.
“Ohioans should be proud of our extensive and well-maintained trails throughout the state and it is wonderful to see new trails being constructed throughout the state and right here in Huron County,” said Stein.
