Stein Appointed as Chair of House Commerce and Labor Committee

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) recently appointed State Rep. Dick Stein (R-Norwalk) as Chairman of the House Commerce and Labor Committee for the 134th General Assembly. 

“I look forward to serving as Chairman of the Commerce and Labor Committee for the 134th GA,” said Stein. “I appreciate Speaker Cupp's confidence in my ability to chair this important committee and to advance legislation that will benefit both business and labor for our state. A strong economy starts with smart policy that limits regulations while protecting Ohio's families.”

Stein will also serve on the Public Utilities Committee and Technology and Innovation Committee.

For the past 40 years, Stein has owned and operated Stein Photography, a successful local business that has provided him with a keen understanding of the challenges small businesses face in the community. 

“The Ohio House is a talented group of members with extensive experience, knowledge and a passion for public service,” said Cupp. “I look forward to a robust committee process that results in good public policy for Ohio.”
